Leadership
Michele Clock, MPA
Founder and Principal
Michele Clock is the founder and principal of Ad Astra Public Affairs. She brings nearly 15 years of experience spanning public-sector communications, government operations, policy analysis, and strategic consulting.
Prior to launching Ad Astra, Michele served in local government, where she worked at the intersection of public administration, executive communications, and organizational improvement within complex governmental systems. Her experience includes advising leadership, supporting public-facing initiatives, and contributing to policy and operational strategy.
Michele began her career as a journalist covering government and public institutions for top American newspapers. This foundation shaped her commitment to accountability, clarity, and effective public service — principles that continue to inform her consulting work.
She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy, graduating in the top five percent of her cohort and earning induction into Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Alpha Alpha honor societies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont McKenna College, where she also earned All-American honors in NCAA Swimming. She studied abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain.
